The life of Lázaro Cárdenas is something deeper than we could think.
In a first instance, We may associated him with the revolutionary movement, and later with the political system that was derived from that fight.
But, we will see in these pages, the way was not easy; the work required something more than technical capacity, it was necessary to make use of the acute tools of the transforming spirit to oppose, and to impose, the reason of the new thing, to deactivate a great amount of powerful social, political and ideological mechanisms that worked with the energy of the old thing and could not accept the new fuel, the new ideas. For that reason, the revolutionary the projects and programs, and the same Lázaro Cárdenas personality appears to us with a great complexity.
For some people, Lázaro Cárdenas was a personage of intachable virtue, whereas for others it is the same incarnation of the exterminating angel. It is certain that the things see clearer when party is taken, but also is certain that to see it is not just like to include/understand, and in the case of Cárdenas and his time, a simple View is insufficient and deceptive; if we are honest, we will have to accept the reading of this book like an advance in the understanding of an enigma, almost like a personal philosophical challenge.
